Add to Cart #003: London Edition
A roundup of bridal finds from British designers, plus a dash of celeb wedding news (courtesy of Mel B, Charli XCX, and Eve Jobs).
Is it just me, or did the UK secretly become the wedding capital of the summer? Because July was basically one long trip down the British aisle.
If you missed the July headlines (don’t worry, that’s what I’m here for), here’s your SparkNotes recap:
Mel B (aka Scary Spice) got married at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, wearing designer Josephine Scott for the ceremony and later Justin Alexander. But for the sake of this newsletter, let’s focus on the Josephine Scott moment.
Charli XCX also said “I do” in London, wearing a Vivienne Westwood mini dress. No surprise there.
And then there was Eve Jobs (yes, Steve Jobs’ daughter) getting married in the Cotswolds. No idea what she wore, but thanks to some light internet sleuthing, I can confirm the guest list could give the Bezos-Sánchez wedding a run for its money…at least in the net worth department.
Now, honest opinions? Aside from Eve Jobs (for obvious reasons; I haven’t seen her gown), I wasn’t exactly blown away by the looks. In the spirit of keeping things cute, though, let’s go with this: Everyone looked beautiful in their own way.
With that said, and if you haven’t guessed it already, I’m using this summer’s English bridal energy as an excuse to spotlight a few pieces from British designers for us Americans to enjoy. Think of it as a healthy alternative to watching the chaos of Love Island UK (or at least that’s what I’m telling myself).
